Product Name: | Albendazole Powder |
Properties: | Albendazole is a white or off-white powder, easily soluble in water, and a transparent or slightly milky solution after dissolution. |
Mechanism of action: | Albendazole belongs to the benzimidazole broad-spectrum anthelmintic. It mainly inhibits the formation of parasite microtubules, affects the absorption of glucose in the worm body, causes parasite energy metabolism disorders, and finally dies due to energy exhaustion. It is effective against a variety of nematodes, tapeworms, flukes and other parasites. |
Indications: | Albendazole is mainly used to prevent and treat parasitic infections in and outside aquatic animals, such as intestinal nematodes, flukes, tapeworms, gill worms and other parasitic diseases in aquatic animals such as fish, shrimps, crabs, etc. |
Scope of application: | Applicable to freshwater fish, marine fish, shrimps, crabs and other aquatic animals. |
Dosage and administration: | Oral administration: According to the weight of different aquatic animals, feed 20-40 mg of albendazole per kilogram of body weight for 3-5 consecutive days. It can be mixed with bait for feeding or dissolved in water and then sprinkled on the aquaculture water. Spraying method: Use 0.1-0.3 grams of albendazole per cubic meter of water, dilute and evenly sprinkle it in the aquaculture pond, usually once every other day, for 2-3 consecutive times. |
Precautions: | Strictly follow the recommended dose to avoid overdose. Properly monitor water quality to prevent excessive use of drugs from causing water quality deterioration. For aquatic animals that are using other drugs, consult a veterinarian before use. Avoid using with other benzimidazole drugs at the same time to prevent drug superposition reactions. During the medication period, strengthen the water oxygenation equipment to ensure sufficient dissolved oxygen in the water. |
Withdrawal period: | Freshwater fish: 7 days Marine fish: 14 days Shrimp and crab: There is no clear regulation, but it is recommended that they should not be caught within 3 days after medication. Adverse reactions: Occasionally, some fish may have allergic reactions to albendazole, which manifests as abnormal swimming and reduced food intake. It is necessary to stop using the drug immediately and strengthen water management. |
Storage conditions: | Store in a sealed container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. |
Precautions: | Keep away from children and non-related personnel. Used containers and packaging should be properly disposed of to avoid environmental pollution. |
