Product name: | Oxytetracycline Soluble Powder |
Properties: | This product is a light yellow to yellow powder that is easily soluble in water. |
Pharmacological action: | Oxytetracycline belongs to the tetracycline class of broad-spectrum antibiotics. It mainly exerts its antibacterial effect by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis and can effectively inhibit a variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It has a strong inhibitory and killing effect on common pathogenic microorganisms in aquaculture, such as Aeromonas hydrophila, Flavobacterium columnaris, and Pseudomonas. |
Indications: | It is used for the prevention and treatment of bacterial infections in aquatic animals (such as fish, shrimps, and crabs). It is often used to treat bacterial gill rot, enteritis, and red skin disease in fish. It also has a good effect on bacterial diseases such as red leg disease and black gill disease in crustaceans such as shrimps and crabs. |
Dosage: | Oral administration: Mix this product with feed at a dose of 20-50 mg per kilogram of body weight and feed. Once a day, continue to use for 3-5 days, or follow the doctor's advice. External spraying: Dissolve this product in water at a dose of 2-5 grams per cubic meter of water and evenly spray it on the surface of the water. Once a day, continue to use for 2-3 days. The dosage and course of treatment can be adjusted appropriately depending on the condition. |
Adverse Reactions: | Long-term use or excessive use may cause indigestion, decreased appetite and liver and kidney damage in aquatic animals, so it should be used with caution. |
Precautions: | Strictly follow the dosage and do not use in excess. Aquatic animals that are allergic to oxytetracycline and its derivatives are prohibited. Stop feeding biological feed during medication. It is recommended to use artificial synthetic feed to avoid affecting the effectiveness of the drug. Long-term use may lead to increased bacterial resistance and should be used alternately with other antibiotics. Aquatic products shall not be caught or sold during the drug residue period. The withdrawal period is generally 10 days. |
Incompatibility: | Avoid using it with drugs or feeds containing metal ions such as calcium, magnesium, and aluminum to avoid affecting the absorption of oxytetracycline. Do not use it with penicillin drugs. |
Storage: | Keep it away from light, seal it, and store it in a cool and dry place to prevent moisture. |
Validity period: | Two years |
