| Ingredients | Each gram of powder contains: Sulfadiazine 400 mg. Trimethoprim 80 mg. Excipients per 1 gram. |
| Indications | Gastrointestinal and respiratory infections of calves, sheep, goats, poultry and pigs caused by trimethoprim and sulfadiazine-sensitive microorganisms (such as Escherichia coli, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus). |
| Contraindications | Allergy to trimethoprim and/or sulfonamides. Administered to animals with severely impaired renal and/or hepatic function or blood dyscrasias. |
| Side Effects | Crystallaturia may occur after long-term treatment and high doses. In case of symptoms of crystalluria (hematuria, renal colic), treatment must be stopped immediately, for example sodium carbonate (alkalinizing agent) must be used to increase the solubility of sulfadiazine in urine. Long-term use also increases the risk of blood disorders. Anemia, leukopenia, and thrombocytopenia may also occur. |
| Directions and Dosage | Oral: Calves, goats, and sheep: 5 g per 100 kg body weight twice daily for 4 - 7 days. Poultry and pigs: 1 kg per 1500 - 2500 liters of drinking water for 4 - 7 days. |
