Main ingredients | L-Lysine: 0.4g/tablet (common dosage, subject to customer needs) Accessories: yeast powder, chicken liver powder (palatable ingredient), vitamin C, etc. |
Mechanism of Action | Lysine competitively inhibits the absorption of arginine, interferes with the replication of feline herpes virus (FHV-1), and thus alleviates the upper respiratory tract symptoms caused by the virus (such as sneezing, eye and nasal secretions). |
Indications | Auxiliary treatment of feline viral rhinotracheitis caused by feline herpes virus (FHV-1). Relieve symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection: sneezing, conjunctivitis, increased nasal secretions, etc. Enhance immunity and reduce the risk of recurrence of herpes virus. |
Usage and dosage | 1. Conventional Dosage Kittens/Small Cats: 0.4g/time, 1-2 times a day. Adult Cats:0.8g/time, 1-2 times a day. Acute Phase: Can be increased to 2-3 times a day in the short term (need to follow doctor's advice). 2. Dosage Method Oral administration directly, or crush and mix into wet food/cat strips for feeding. Course of Treatment: It is recommended to use continuously for at least 7-14 days, and chronic infection requires long-term maintenance (such as once a day). |
Precautions | 1. Contraindications: It is forbidden for cats allergic to lysine or excipients. Use with caution in cats with severe hepatic and renal insufficiency. 2. Side Effects: Rare mild diarrhea or vomiting, which can be restored after reducing the dose or stopping the drug. 3.Drug Interactions: Avoid using with arginine supplements (such as certain nutritional creams). There is no clear conflict with antibiotics (such as doxycycline), but it is recommended to take it 1 hour apart. 4.
